I am new to this blade style and am curious as to the best method(s) for sharpening this particular blade style.
I currently use the DMT Diafold (coarse/fine) for most chores and a DMT extra fine for touch up and finishing work.
I do own the Sharpmaker 203(I know I need the 204, just don't have the funds at the moment).
Any advice would be most welcome.
TIA

Scarman,

Better off using the Spydie sharpmaker (I have the 203 as well). It seems easier to use triangle corners til you get used to the recurve blade. After awhile, you get the hang of working that curve even on the flat part of the sharpener.

BTW. Joe Talmadge's article on sharpening (as well as all his articles) in BF FAQ is a good starting place to learn more about sharpening a recurve and sharpening in general.
