Best Way to Spend $37.00 worth of Knife money

If you can find the Kershaw Tremor for $37.00, that would be the way to go. All I've seen are the partially serrated blades.

I got one for a coworker in plain edge for $20 shipped I think . Big blade though, he wanted something dedicated for self-defense, not utility. I admit being very impressed for the price, and for his intended use the 8Cr13MoV is more than good. I personally don't want a steel that has its level of edge retention when I know I can get something much better.

I'd recommend taking a look at an Opinel folder, and using what's left over to purchase a more simplistic SAK like the Recruit model.

Thanks nccole, after seeing your post I searched and was able to find a Tremor for sale at the same price as the one you bought for your co-worker. Now I'll have a backup in case I misplace my original one. It's a lot of knife for the money.

Tenacious or if you find one a delica.

The place I'm going to has those for our of budget, but I do want one so bad, it's like I can't pick! I do know I'm most likely getting a Spydie or a Kershaw, I was considering CRKT but I've heard some horror stories

Wait until the end of August and buy a BRK/ESEE collaboration folder. With shipping, it will run you less than $35.00, and you'll have enough left over for a six pack of your favorite cheap American brew, or a bottle of Ripple, or a pint of MD20/20...:D

Do you have specs on that BRK/ESEE knife?

Drop/spear point
Blade thickness 0.125"
Total Length 7" Open
Closed length 4"
Blade length 3"/2.75" cutting edge
Handle Material - G10/Stainless Steel Frame Lock Side
Steel AUS-8 stainless
Lock Frame Lock
Rockwell Hardness 57-59 RC

Say bye bye to the R.A.T. 2

Thanks for posting so quickly with that info. I'm going to see if they're online anywhere.

I've recently come into a bigger budget! I got $37.00, to spend on whatever I please at SMKW! Happy Human eh? But, I plan on getting an Opinel and maybe a Si Teaglass(huge duck dynasty fan) so I get about $30.00 more to spend at BPS or SMKW, I've really pondered joining Spydernation or the Order Of The KAI but I'm torn, here's my ponderings:(PS, Sorry for all the started threads I'm trying to make a big decision, I'll post more in other threads once my insatiable knife appetite is satisfied! And any other suggestions are appreciated! I enjoy learning on BladeForums and picked up quite a bit of steel knowledge!)
--Opinel(A Guarantee)
--Spyderco
--Kershaw
--Swiss Army(Both Vic and Wenger
--Mora/Condor

Get an Opinel, and if you have enough left, get a Mora. I'm sure you'll be very pleased.

Spyderco or kershaw economy line, opinel I want to try out one day. I like mora's for the price but I might re grind mine to a full flat for kitchen use .
