Best website to consign knives?

I have a couple customs and a couple of high end productions that I'd like to put up for consignment, and I'm wondering who has had luck consigning, and who was the seller. I'm looking for a honest seller, not one that has a bunch of clauses in their contract designed to allow them to keep the knives, and also one that doesn't take too high of a percentage. Okay, I know I'm asking a lot, but who's the best. Thanks.

I can't answer your question, but I have to say that I've had really good luck selling stuff here on BF.

I appreciate the input, but I think these particular knives would be best sold on consignment. I don't really feel like going into too many details, except that these aren't from "popular" makers so I think I need to hit a different audience.

Yes, I can check them out, but I'd like to know if any forumites have any opinions or experiences about which dealer or seller might be the best choice. I'm sorry if that sounds rude, but I feel like my original post wasn't completely read, I did not ask: "Does anyone know where I can consign knives.?" I need some reasons why I should pick one over the other. Please! and Thank You!

I've used both Nordic Knives and Rehoboth Knives, but both (and most of them) take a 25% cut. Nordic has more exposure. E-mail with the prices YOU want out of them and either will tell you if it's feasible of not.

A.G. Russell (the cutting edge), you might try Northwest knives. One thing some of the sites will do, if your knives do not sell they reserve the right to lower the price in increments. If you want to pull your knives off the site because they don't sell, you might get stuck with a fee. Depends on who the maker is, I would investigate WHERE that maker has a market and try to tap into it first. There's always ebay.

Sorry, I have never consigned a knife so I have no first hand experience with the company that I recommended you check out. The reason I made the recommendation is that I trust the person that runs that site, Les Robertson, and figured he would be someone to contact. He does however charge a fairly high percentage commision.

Thanks, that helps!
However, Spark doesn't seem to like Les Robertson very much, if you look at his title it says something about him being a known liar, so I won't do business with him. I'm sure Spark has his reasons and wouldn't give anyone a title like that without a very good reason.
EDITED TO ADD:
I found it for you. This is a direct cut and paste of the text surronding Les's name:
Les Robertson
TROLL & Taker of cheap shots. Click here to ignore me. I got banned because I'm a liar.

I don't think this has anything to do with Les' knife dealing business. It has everything to do with Les' somewhat abrasive communication style on forums. You shouldn't discount him just because Spark banned him, without knowing the details.

Okay. Thanks.

IMHO, Les is a stand up guy, and all my dealings with him have been first rate.

Sometimes he may not tell you exactly what you want to hear, and it might not always be done in a kinder and gentler manner. Perhaps I am just a rhino skinned New Yorker, but I have always found him to be honest and polite.

What Peter said. Les has a somewhat abrupt no b.s. attitude that can put some people off. It bothers me not at all. More to the point, I have done many transactions with Les - both buying and selling - and have found him to be completely trustworthy. He is also extremely knowledgeable about all facets of the world of custom knives.

What happened between Les and Spark was unfortunate. However, that would not for one minute cause me to hesitate in dealing with Les.

Les is someone I would trust. Known him for a while and consider him a friend (as I do Spark).

Yup he can be a little abrasive at times at it is part of his humor too, but that has nothing to do with his honesty. He is a good person to get to know.

Don't hesitate to do business with Les.He is my "Favorite Purveyer"
One thing about him though, don't ask him a question unless you want the truth. As he see's it.And he has his finger on the pulse of the knife industry.
One smart dude. And I also call him my friend.
