I have always loved horror movies, ever since I was a kid. Huge fan of the Friday The 13ths, Halloweens, Phantasms, etc. Those are different types of horror movies I think. Those are more the hack-n-slash, while others are more suspensful and creepy.

You gotta love the classic monster movies too like Pumpkinhead, RawheadRex, Jeepers Creepers, etc.

Sometimes its nice to get back to basics and watch a good ole Werewolf movie.

When I was a kid, the Original Howling scared the crap out of me. I remember sitting on the couch watching it through the holes in the afghan........
I always considered the Original Howling to be the BEST Werewolf Movie Ever.

About a year or so ago, I stumbled upon the movie DOG SOLDIERS.

Lately, its been on TV many times and I pretty much stop what I am doing to watch it even though I already bought the DVD. DOG SOLDIERS is my new and favorite werewolf movie of all time and is one of my favorite horror movies of all time as well.

Gotta love a bunch of special ops with tons of guns and weapons going up against a pack of huge werewolves. Lots of Blood & Guts too.

What's YOUR Favorite Werewolf Movie of all time........???

"Wolfen" and "In the Company of Wolves"

The Former because it is quite good - the later because I have never been able to determine if it is "Art" or a really bad movie.

Love wolf movies too. There are few good ones that I have come across.

All the best.

btw - American werewolf in London is also cool.

Oh yeah, forgot about An American Werewolf In London. That was a good one too. I still like Dog Soldiers as my fav, but there are lots of good ones out there.

Man the original Howling scared the crap outta me as a kid too but I also live American Werewolf in London and the Paris version as well. However, those are all in competition the Underworld series.

If my memory serves me correct I think "Silver Bullet" was a pretty good one, kid in a wheel chair comes to mind. I was probibly a kid when I saw it, enjoyed it then.

i still prefer the lon chaney version. i like scenes wherein the ground is shrouded by dry ice fog.

I liked Silver Bullet too. Watched it a ton when I was a kid. I even read the book many times. Cycle of the Werewolf.

The best (and perhaps only) werewolf SONG is "Wherewolves of London."

To me, American Werewolf in London is the G.O.A.T. movie. I pretty much like any werewolf movie, though. The recent one with Beniccio Del Torro wasn't bad and I even liked the recent "Red Riding Hood." Even Abbott & Costello meet the werewolf is worth watching...

Those are classics?!? LOL.

My favorite, Lon Chaney Jr, The Wolf Man.

How about the "Howling" Song at the beginning of The Howling II.....? Its pretty good. The rest of the movie with all the werewolf women having orgies was far fetched, even more farfetched than the werewolves themselves.....lol.

Check it out.

I meant modern classics.........It is tough to beat the old B&W Originals. I just dont watch them anymore in lew of the modern ones. Its just me.

If you haven't read The Wolfen, do so! Aside from the usual screw ups on the gun references in the book, the story is vastly better in the book. Huge amounts of information are lost in the movie.

If your into Werewolf books. Try and find The Howling & Howling II Books. They are awesome and 110" better than the movies. They are also much different. I used to have them, but sold them on ebay awhile back. Definitely a good read. I read them like 20 years ago. Should have re-read them before I sold them....lol

Did anybody else ever watch the tv series Werewolf that originally aired on Fox? As a kid I loved that show. Looking back, the entire series was a bit of a let down...however, I still enjoy the 2 hour pilot.

Just before the change.....

I forgot about the Werewolf TV show. It was not too bad from what I remember. Though when I was in my early 20's, I would be glued to the TV watching Buffy and Angel too........lol.

I liked Dog Soldiers, Spoons last stand scene is a classic !

I think I'll have to name "American Werewolf in London" as the best of all time though. I watched it again not so long ago and it was still great, if not even better next to what I'm seeing put out these days.

My top five, in this order:

1 - An American Werewolf In London.

2 - Bad Moon

3 - Dog Soldiers

4 - Blood And Chocolate

5 - Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning

Wolfen is great but the wolves aren't werewolves.
