Best wood handle?

I like wood for its feel and beauty. As long as you accept its limitations, wood is a perfectly viable material for a knife handle. Lots of choices available.



Ebony, birch bark, cocobolo, maple, walnut, koa, ash, arctic willow. Those are just the ones I'm familiar with. Pick one you like, and remember to oil it occasionally. Or go with the desert ironwood, it's good stuff.
