great looking knives guys...

Tal- you have own/owned some beauties..

this is the only Woodlore-esque style knife that i own, it was made by Adam of J.L.T. knives in the U.K.. this is a sweet knife, wicked sharp and comfortable in the hand..

Just got the Bushlore in the mail. I like it. But, I think I'll continue with my Fehrman Peacemaker for "bushcraft". Maybe pick up a Mora down the road to experiment with Scandi. Thanks all!

I don't have his version of the Woodlore, but this one from Adventure Sworn is kinda, sorta similar and I do love it. Cody's work is pretty amazing. It's really almost too pretty to use (even though I have)

Not to split hairs, but that's not a Woodlore version. It's the BCUSA Knife. Straighter spine, less drop and more belly than the Woodlore. Cody is your best bet for an American Woodlore, if not, look to the British makers. Lots more money and a much longer wait. You can always get a finished blade from any maker and have someone do the handle, oh yeah and a sheath. Fun project.

Thought I would post up a few of my Woodlore clones and my Woodlore for comparison.
From Top to bottom:
1. Garreth Townsend (GT Knives) Woodsman (UK)
2. Ray Mears Alan Wood Original Woodlore (UK)
3. SWC Knives Blade, handle by Lone Rider Grips, Conn. USA. (UK & US)
4. Adventure Sworn Woodlore Clone
5. Stewart Marsh (UK)
All knives are 01 steel and micarta handled except for the original Woodlore.

As you can see, all designs differ slightly in length, blade thickness and handle shape. Also notice all my knives have been used.

Kahuna,

Man THAT is a line up. That must be an older Adventure Sworn - like my original one - it didn't even have a makers mark. ;)

For those splitting hairs - indeed Adventure Sworn has two models - one is his Woodlore clone - Called the 'Classic' and the other model you see in Live it Louds thread called the Explorer. The explorer is sold as the Bushcraft USA forum knife.

He is also a member on this board - Adventure Sworn.

I am not trying to sell anything for him - but that is why you see a difference between the Classic and the Explorers coke bottle handle and different blade lines.

Thanks Tal. Looks like I made a journey similar to the one you posted. You even made me a few sheaths for my Kosters a few years back.
Good job pointing out the differences in the AS line.

The Adventure Sworn knives are works of art...beautiful knives and high quality construction. I would love to have the "Classic" in a 4 1/2 inch blade. But, $245+ is way too rich for my blood. I could purchase a Wetterlings axe and 3 other quality (yet mass produced and no-where-near as beautiful) knives for that price. However, in the words of Ferris Bueller..."If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up"

The best for the price point is the M5 of Aaron Gray of Gray Wolf Knives
I cannot recommend it more highly

A 4" Spear point
F&F is excellent
Very well balanced
The zero grind is perfect and I mean perfect
It is amazingly sharp out the 'box'
The basic model has black vinigar patina with lovely walnut handles
A very robust sheath in leather is a small amount extra
You can get the scales flat sided or rounded

See knife #2 for this example in walnut
And the other shows what else he does for the M5 with micarta and kydex

I have mine over a year, used it well and I have only stropped it
