best bang for the buck and very pokey. they'll let you in pretty much anywhere with one or 2 also.

They are more obvious than some might think. And more people realise they are tactical pens than some might think.

Cheapo Pilot G2 07 black gel pens work best for me.

I tend to carry cheap pens for several reasons. I've noticed there isn't a rhyme or reason as to which ones work well, the same can apply to cheap gel and rollerball pens. I got a promotional pen in the mail with advertising on it but I noticed that it wrote well and was reliable so I've been carrying it. I sometimes carry gel pens too but they are more prone to leaking in your pocket. I've liked Parker pens in the past but I don't want to get in the habit of carrying more expensive pens.

Most of the cops I've met carry the Pilot G2. Lightweight, dependable, disposable.

Best writing imo is one that fits your hand best. Not necessarily one that carry’s best.

A lot of these clicky ti pens tend to be thin and small and not the best to have a comfortable writing grip on.

Try pens in a wide range of sizes and you’ll know which one writes best for you.
