Best ZT for value?

I vote 0350. The 0200 is great too, but it's a bit of a beast for low profile carry.

0350 or maybe look around for a used 0560 or 0561, might be a little more than $150 but well worth it.

I think the 550 hits that spot for me, maybe the new 566 when it hits. Almost everyone that handles my 551 really likes it, the 560 seems to be more of instant love/hate. I think the 566 would have been a bigger hit with a Ti handle, but I'm sure it will be popular even with steel, especially if they end up with a thinner less blocky "feeling" handle than the 550 has.

I'm gonna go with the 200 on this one. IMHO the amount of knife you get for the price just can't be topped. The best value for me anyway.
I couldn't agree more. It's far too big for me to carry, but nothing speaks more to ZT's "overbuilt" design philosophy than the 0200 does IMO.

I'm in the 0350/0550 camp too, though I would opt for the NON-blem option as far as the 0350.

550 Gen 1. Ti framelock, can be had very cheap if you look. I paid $100 for mine used. It's one of my favorite folders.

The 030X takes a beating and keeps on lickin......great value and good edge retention IMO.

I agree with all of the posts. 0200, 0350, or 0550 are all excellent. Definitely order from KershawGuy... and I am a big fan of the blem models. I have several blems and I usually can't even tell what the heck happened to make it a blem. They all function perfectly. You can get a 200 or 350 blem for less than $100.

I have all 3 of the knives suggested and it's hard for me to make a recommendation on them. I think it depends on how big of a knife they want. The 350 is a really nice little EDC, but I usually like carrying the little larger knives. Not that I NEED to... I just like them. The 560 and 301 get a lot of carry time from me.

Well, this thread finally pushed me off the fence: I bought my first ZT, a 350. I'm looking forward to its arrival.

Either the 550 or 350....one of the larger online retailers has the 350 for just a shade over a hundred dollars

Wowzers! Fantastic knife! Very good in the hand, very solid, and the operation is extremely smooth. Almost every other knife I own I had to oil first to get a smooth blade opening, this one is great right out of the box. Nice <thwack> when you open it; the only other knife I have that does that is the Junkyard Dog II. Other knives just go <click>.

I buy a lot of merchandise from the "larger online retailer", but when it comes to knives I prefer to support a real knife store, unless the price difference is just too great or if the knife stores don't have the item. I have 20 knife stores bookmarked and I can bring them all up at once in individual tabs using Safari's "Open in Tabs" feature. I can usually find at least one store that carries the knife cheaper or within a few dollars of the online retailer. You have to pay attention to shipping costs, also, and that big feller can be very good on that score.
