I know there are probably many threads like this but I was just wondering what everyone thaught the best edc knife is?

The best EDC knife is the Spyderco Delica4 ZDP-189 plain edge

Apparently I need one of these! It's gotta be one of the most popular edc's! Every thread like this is full of D4 praise! Only problem is I can't stand frn.

Based on only the knives I own Id say that the Benchmade Osborne 943 is my best EDC by far, love it!

There is a g10 Delica. Pricier and harder to find but worth it.

To answer the OP, the best edc is the one in your pocket. That makes it CQC 10 for today.

I have to go with the Delica ZDP189 as that is one EDC that I always have on me plus my Belt Buckle Knife and at times a GEC #72 or #73 with the other 2 Knives.!**

Benchmade 710. It's light, very thin and still has a substantial blade. Plus, the axis lock is very addictive. You purchase one, many more will follow :)

I have different tastes in EDC than most now, because my EDC for the last few weeks has been my Shiragorov and a slippy with it, sometimes GEC, and occasionally a Case too.
In terms of what I think is the best EDC, my previous favorite was the Endura 4, but that's really just because I like a larger blade. The delica 4 is an awesome EDC, just not exactly my tastes.

Best? Well, thats pretty fluid I find. Recently it's been the Spyderco Military for me. But now I'm breaking in an Elmax Para 2, and loving it.
Having said that, any reply that says BM 940/943 isn't wrong.

There really is none since everyone needs different knives for different tasks. I'm generally not a big fan of the huge tactical folders anymore, most people don't really need the "hard-use" aspect of them for EDC. You can usually get very good quality sub 4in blades for under 5 ounces nowadays.
Some good ones are the Microtech SOCOM's, Spyderco Paramilitary 2's, Benchmade 940

Of course Multitools are a great option. I've EDC'd that for years before I stopped with that.

Kevin Wilkins solved that problem and offers G10, titanium and I think aluminum for the delica 4

The delica 4 is an amazing knife specially in the summer it clips inside the waistband of shorts and goes unnoticed it's so light and think.

The best EDC knife is the Zero Tolerance ZT0560.

Or the Kershaw Skyline.

Or the Spyderco Para Military 2

Or the Victorinox Waiter

Or the - well - you get the point.

I think the Delica 4 in ZDP-189 is as close to perfect as it gets, in theory. Light, durable, great steel.

I dislike FRN, and I have no problem carrying heavier blades, so I will never own one.
