Best

This be a hard question to answer matey!

I have five knives that are my primary carry:

Manix 2 XHP
PM2 Digicam/Satin S30V
Gayle Bradley
Brous Bionic
Benchmade 585 mini Barrage w/ orange scales and backspacer with D2.

Out of these, I probably like the manix best.
The rest play second fiddle.

For general "whatever comes up" use, I'd say a victorinox Swiss Army knife or a stockman pattern knife made by a reputable company. Not scary, not pricey, depending on the model can be much more pocketable than a big bad combat knife, yet still field tested and proven to be reliable.

I know there are probably many threads like this but I was just wondering what everyone thaught the best edc knife is?

The Opinel No. 8 Mushroom knife.

Since you have given us no other information, I have to assume you spend the vast majority of your day harvesting mushrooms. So I think that knife would be the best EDC for you.

I currently have 9 knives in my edc rotation. It just depends on the day.

Sebenza 25
ZT 0801
Hogue EX01
Spyderco Military
Ontario XM Strike Fighter
Microtech Combat Troodon
ESEE Zancundo
SOG Trident tanto
Spyderco Endura

For those who dislike FRN (I find it's a perfectly acceptable handle material, but that's just me), try the Spyderco Air with the glass fiber scales and an M4 blade.

I love my ZDP-189 blades, and I do think the FFG Delica is possibly the finest EDC knife design there is (my girlfriend has several), but that's not what I carry. She actually uses hers in her workday (she works at a veterinary clinic), while I try to defend myself against the ravages of copier paper and boredom. So, we office ninjas might not be your best source of information given the stuff I carry (today is a CRKT Hi Jinx--don't look at me like that, you'd carry one too).

On a slightly more serious note, I have a Spyderco Micro Dyad in jigged bone that will do anything I need a knife to do in an office and more besides. Comes to that, the ZDP Ladybug on my keychain could do everything I do with a knife on a regular basis.

Oh, and today's "people" knife is a Case Mini Toothpick with a two inch blade, and it, too, will do everything I need a knife to do on a regular basis. It's a little less intimidating that the Strider PT. :)

Haha, perfect! Exactly what I was thinking!
