First you had a Coote. then you worked up to a VS BaderBIII or a KMG.
First you had a one brick forge, then you worked up to a Paragon HT oven.
First you made a drop point hunter, then you worked up to a sword.
First you had step pulleys, then a KB electronics controller for your DC motor, maybe a VFD.............
..............but do you have one of these?????
Through an interesting internet search, I recently stumbled upon a nearly new controller for DC motors (supposedly, five hours service time). It cost me almost nothing ( shipping was only $2 less than the cost). It is a FINCOR 2600.
The first photo show a KBIC controller, Heat sink, and a NEMA-4 enclosure. That is a very nice setup for 220VAC input and 0-180VDC output speed control. Change the HP resistor and you can run motors from 1/8HP to 2HP (with a heat sink). This is what comes with a Bader VS unit.
The Fincor is 12"x12"x10" , weighs 20 pounds, and has cooling fans. The photo of the FINCOR shows the KBIC unit for comparison. It has internal selectors for motors from 1/16HP to 5HP 180VDC. There are so many parameters that can be set it is insane. The three remote controls are for on/off, speed limit set, and increase/decrease. It has 8 gauge power input lines. This baby is going to run a BIG DC motor when I find the right one.
Ain't she sweet!
