There was a nice turnout for Saturdays get together. Darren Perkins [dperk] drove down from Cleveland to join us. If we gave an award for the farthest distance traveled, it would be yours.:)

We had a couple of young guys and we put them right to work on the air hammer and grinders. They had a great time and wanted to come back and learn. We may just have a couple of new makers in the making.

Like many hammerin's the people really pitched in a made it all come together, it was one of those wonderful days moving hot steel.

Here are a few pics; you know it was good, check out the smiles.

Jeff rolling in around 7 am with the grill and drum smoker.

Looke like alot of fun was had by all.

Thanks for having us down Fred. It was a great day. The food was very good and the drink as well. I didn't really get anything too productive done but the BS'ing was very entertaining. -Burton

Yes, thanks Fred for the invite! I had a great time meeting everyone there. Thanks for letting us use your tools also. The air hammer is too much fun (first time using one). I wish I could have stayed longer, but the drive....

I took a few action shots too:

You can learn a lot from the BS if you talk to the right person. It was great to see you and Ed. Hope we didn't ride him tooo hard.

You are very welcome Darren. A lot of newer makers got a chance to forge and grind and that makes for a successful day.
