The local contractor, that was hired to put up the new smithy turned out to be a good choice.
His crew, put in two seven hour days, in between the rain and have gotten it under roof and it looks very good.
The building is 24X32 with a 12' loafing shed that runs 32' long.
Jason says they'll be pouring the floor on Tuesday.
A couple friends and I have gotten the water, electric, telephone and gas in place, ready for the concrete.
We'll be wiring the building, starting on Thursday, after the pour, as well as running the gas lines to the forge area and getting a phone set up.
I feel a hammer-in is in order around September. I will keep you posted.
This view is inside looking east; the gas forges go to the right in the corner. The belt grinders will be set up to the left.
There will be 56'X2' of clear panel on the east and south walls. This will be quite a change from the cave I am currently set up in.
I'll post pics after the floor is poured on Tuesday.
