Does anyone make a better sheath for the Mora S-1? The plastic one that comes with it is especially awful.

I'd prefer kydex but good/decent leather would be ok, too.

Thanks!

Stieg,

Contact Normark, he's a forum member, and probably chime in soon. He's a fantastic guy to deal with and delivers top notch Kydex work!! I can't say enough good things about him.

I have bought several of Normark's sheaths. He does good work.

I'm hoping that I wouldn't have to send my knife anywhere to have it done since it's such a cheap knife.

Is ragnar's sheath any good? It looks like a leather version of the plastic one that comes with the knife.

Steve: that sheath looks nice. Did you have to send him the knife?

Skunkworx: Would you need me to send you the knife to make an S-1 sheath?

Thanks!

The sheaths here are great! All are good work.

Normark has an excellent reputation for good kydex if that's the type you prefer. It's not very difficult to make your own leather sheath, though. I made this one for my Mora 510:

It only takes a couple of cheap hand tools. Any leather shop should have these, and there are surely many places online to get the materials too.

I don't know much about rolling your own kydex sheaths, but I do recall reading several positive accounts of people doing so.

Normark and Snd skunlwerx are excellent craftsmen and outstandingly nice individuals to deal woith if you are lokking for kydex (love em) I recentl made a sheath for my s-1 out of an old lather belt took about an hour...

I'm not Steve but I think I can answer for him. You do NOT need to send them the knife. Those are sheaths they have on hand that just happen to fit.

The top one is for the Gameskeeper and the bottom one is probably the Aurora/Bushcraft sheath just so you know what to ask for.

Hope that helps.

Brian,
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks!

Thanks guys!

I'll try to order a leather sheath like above (no time for making sheaths for awhile) one Brian listed as for the Aurora/Bushcraft.

Fantastic choice. Don't forget to ask them about a firesteel to go in that loop if you don't already have one on hand.
