im about to retire my old mora classic. it has taken alot of abuse and dose not o my anything. my question is are there any knives better than a mora for under 25 or should i just buy another mora. thanks

If you're limiting yourself to a $25 budget, then I'd say just get another Mora or two (assuming you're referring to the Mora with the painted red handles).

Under $25 ---- cold steel pendelton hunter lite.....16$ on eBay.

Midway had the benchmade lonewolf hunter for $21.

I don't think you'll find any better knife than the Mora in that price range. They have a great reputation for a reason. Buy another and don't look back.

I have many of the Moras, a companion is way more practical than a classic. If I only was going to buy one, it would not be the classic. Either Companion/Clipper, or Bushcraft or one of the Robust models.

If you've worn it out, it must suit you. Get another the same.
Or are you retiring it for some other reason?

no im just retiring it because it pretty worn out and i have better and more expensive knives but they fun to beat on

You can try hultafors knives, if u can find dealer. They are cheaper and in my opinion they are better (if we don't count triflex moras).

the blue one is aus-8 stainless steel, the orange and the green are carbon steel

Moras are the Marvin Hagler of knives.

Pound for pound, Hagler was one of the best fighters ever.

Dollar for dollar, Moras are one of the best knives ever.

Get another Mora or 2 :D

One of my favorite knives.

More than one person here on BF has referred to the Cold Steel Pendleton Lite as "their Mora". I don't have either yet so cannot comment as to the validity but I think I understand their point: high-value, inexpensive knife (with crappy sheath).

Honestly, I think the Pendleton Lite has a great sheath. Why people hate the nylon stuff is beyond me, because it's comfortable and holds the knife securely - what more do you need?
