I still visit jurisdictions which have a 2.5" blade restriction. What I really want is something in a steel of similar quality to 14c28n, but the only <2.5" blade under $40 in that I know is the baby Boa.
I'd like a manual action, easy to open and close with one hand, better steel (edge retention vs. cardboard) than AUS8.
I asked a similar question a while back, and reluctantly settled on the OD-2. The Ladybug 3 looked good as well, but I'm not terribly fond of the blade shape, nor do I want a lockback in this particular application.
So, has anything new and wonderful come out in this area?
Edit: I just noticed that there is now a Ladybug 3 with FFG blade in ZDP-189. I might get one of those. Maybe. I still want to hear any other options.
