Bevel grinding questions

I. Never got anything close to that good off my 1x30, they are hard to use.

That looks great imo, with a bit of a tickle up by hand you'll be able to get it looking really nice
 
The way to do it is through twisting as you move through the grind... You will have to play around with it and use layout fluid to see what movements do what.

I let it simmer for several days and then went back to it. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. Far from professional looking, but my best grind yet. I think that I may be trying to do much with lower grits instead of leaving plenty of room for adjustment with the 220 and 400. The whole knife turned out well too. My first attempt at jigging.
