Hey Guys,
On the new Case knife that I just finished sharpening, the bevel came out slightly higher on the mark side of both blades. Not by much, we're probably talking 1/64" or less - just enough to notice. Now, I am very confident that I held a consistent angle on both sides of the blade. I also looked at it, edge on, under a bright light. As far as I can tell, the edge apex is centered on the midline of the blade, or within a gnat's heinie. Is it possible that the primary grind is slightly asymmetrical, and that this would account for the difference in bevel height? Thanks.
