Is it possible to refine grind lines by hand sanding and is there a good way to keep a crisp line between the flats and bevels?
Thanks

1.) Yes

2.) Sand bevels at opposing angles (eg. start main bevel with 320X at 30degrees to the left, then do clip at 30 degrees to the right). Don't sand in line with length of blade until doing very final sanding at final grit.

3.) Lots of practice. ;) :)

Thank you Nick! I didn't think of not sanding the length of the blade until final grit but it does make sense to help not wash out your lines.

Finish the flats and bevels at a different gritt size. I like that look.

Sanding blocks, nice firm ones help me. Right now I have a couple made of hardwood with various radius on the edge. I also have a couple with leather backing on them to soften them up just a touch.
