Am I wrong here? I purchased a vac chamber sys from this company. Put it on a shelf for a few weeks while I collected the remaining things i needed, such as wood and resin. About 5, maybe 6 weeks into ownership, I started using the system, after roughly (I wasnt counting) 8 to 10 pull downs with the vac pump, the pot collapsed. It didn't colapse completely, but suddenly and loud enough to make me think it was exploding...or imploding as it were. I contacted the co. I bought it from and the guy, Adam, informed me they only warrant for 30 days. Which I thought was a bit short, especially since I didn't rember seeing that on their web site. So, of course, I went back and looked. It's not stated any place I could find, excep on one of their products.....Guess I should have read every word on every page of their site, right....NOT. ok, thats actually not what pissed me off so bad, here's the kicker...in his email, where he was gracious enough to sell me a replacement pot for TWICE what I could find it on the 'net for, he explained to me that they had trouble with that model and no longer carried it because of failures. Now mind you, he KNEW about the bad product and shipped it to me anyway!!! Then later in various emails blamed ME because I didn't use it soon enough to test it...... isn't that what they are suppose to do?? Yes, his "unbeatable 30 day warranty", again, you have to really search the site to find where that'sstated, was exceeded, but as for use, had I used the thing regularly, it would have failed in days of use. Heck, I only used it a couple of weekends! Oh, and another thing his site states alot is, and I am paraphrasing.........will hold a vac for 24 hours.......it never held a vac for more than TWO hours for me before the collapse, unless i just let the pump run full, time! So, am I wrong in thinking a product, warranted or not, should last more than 71 days, with only 3 to 5 of those 71 being actual service? BESTVALUEVACS........... BEWARE!!!!!! We did exchange several emails, of which he continually justified all his lack of doing anything, they even advertise on their site as having great customer service.......REALLY

Not that it will do much good, but when I have an issue like that I always file a complaint with the appropriate BBB office. It probably won't do you much good, especially if they are not a member of the BBB, but it might help others down the road. Before I buy something online, I try to determine if someone has bitched to the BBB about something.

Might check with/report their shady practices to your state's Atty Gen office. Who knows what might happen after that. Besides, might as well try to get some value out of the gubmint.

thanks! i hadn't even thought of that. I'll definately check out the BBB idea.

Ugh, what a bummer. No, I don't think you are in the wrong. Maybe a huge corporation would be pinned to a warranty schedule (even then it would drive me nuts), but this sounds like a small-ish company.

The ones I've looked at have had glass chambers/globes. If I come upon the link I'll pm it to you.

Regardless, I don't think what they're doing is fair.

Agreed, ....should have been a red flag when the only way to contact them is via web page.....no address, no phone listing......the old "buyer beware" always comes to mind, even to an old salt like me every so often.

Its old but my time to chime in I guess. I purchased 3 chambers from them and 2 different pumps since they had it all on site. I didn't have any problems, actually I got 3 different versions that worked perfectly and held the vac they advertise. I actually visited their location to pick up the chambers. Its quite a large operation they have going and they are totally legit. They have a gang of employees so Im surprised you had a bad experience with them. I was in their warehouse/assembly area and they have like 10,000 square feet. Next time I go in I will mention something to them about your issue. The guys running the place are pretty cool I send business their way all the time because their service is right on and their chambers work. I will chat back if I can get the story.

It's curious that you just started an account here on bladeforums just to support this company.

It sounds like the op had issues with his particular unit, which the retailer was aware of before it was sold. It never should have been sold in the first place. And it sounds like bad customer service to boot.

I support them, I saw this review searching for their parts since I clogged my resin trap and should back up my mates! I would do the same for TurnTex and a few others.
