I made a trade with jsmitty on april 4th,I shipped the leafstorm on the 5th of April,it was signed,and delivered on April the 7th..I'm still waiting on the carbon fiber stretch he was supposed to send.It was signed for by a S. Donaldson.
I've had no email ,or contact since the 4th of April.I believe I've been scammed my first time here on bladeforums after many tranactions.
I had misgivings since it was a new member,but since I've always had good dealings here I trusted the wrong person.

I sugest anyone dealing with a new member without feedback require them to ship first,or pass.

It looks like he's got 4 or 5 other members considering trading with him in the last month. I looked at his visitor messages. His last activity here was about a week ago. Did you ship USPS? If so, you may want to contact your Post Office.

Well, you may have cause to suspect mail fraud. That is a serious offense and the USPS treats it as such. You could at least report it to the USPS.
 
I'm going to do my best to get it taken care of this week.I've been busy,and wore completely out from a day,or two of turkey hunting.
I'll post as soon as i get in touch with the post office.I've been hoping the scammer would contact me,but no luck.
 
I see this guy is back on the forums trying to trade,I'm still waiting on the carbon fiber stretch I traded my spyderco leafstorm for,Beware of this guy.
 
Vege-Taco,thanks I just filed a complaint with the USPS,and hopefully they'll investigate this.I had just about given up on this after I called my local PO,and didn't get any help.
 
I'll be posting negative feedback on itrader,should have before,so no other members gets scammed by this guy,
 
I just sent jsmitty a follow-up email, telling him if I don't hear from him by Monday, he's history.
 
I have filled the complaint with the postal service,I'lll see how that goes.Thanks for the help Esav.
 
Oh great.I am from TN and go by J Smith on some other forums.
Just to be sure to let everyone that sees this thread know that this guy is not me.

He's history. jsmitty has now been banned. IF he makes up what he owes, we could consider restoring his membership. Considering the aggravation he's caused, even that is no sure thing.

I'm sorry we couldn't convince him to man up.
