I hate to do this, but feel that I need to.

On 2/18 lazy otter and I agreed on a sale. He wanted to by a Busse Team Gemini Crusader I had for sale, and asked if I would hold it for him to get his funds together. Since I had sold him another knife previously, and he paid in installments on that knife, I agreed - trying to give him the opportunity to get a knife he wanted, even though I received PMs from others offering to pay full price right away.

Since 2/18 I have received numerous PMs from lazy otter saying how much he wanted the knife, giving updates on when he was expecting to have funds, etc.

Last night I received another PM from lazy otter, this time saying he was backing out of the deal we agreed to. Now, he did explain he had issues with finances, and I can understand that in today's economy. I would have let it go with that, but --- He said that AFTER he committed to buy this knife from me, he had others proxy for him in the recent Busse B8 Ganzaa, and was going to follow through on those purchases and throw me under the bus on our deal.

Completely unprofessional. Granted there is a lot of unforeseeables dealing with finances in todays time, but that should never affect a mans integrity.

Yeah, I can understand things come up, and I understand that sometimes others things can happen financially - but when he buys a knife 2 weeks later and pays for that and then at least 5 more after that - the story about financial issues rings hollow.

He probably got the Crusader during the Ganza at a lot easier price to swallow.
On another hand you sold your Crusader to someone else, so it is not like you are behind on a sale.
In that spirit I wonder why did you leave negative feed back on lazy otter, when no trade occurred, is this a revenge or something?
I frankly do not get it.

Integrity means everything in 2015.

Someone seems to have misplaced theirs........................................

I can understand your frustration over the whole situation UDDwaine and IMHO posting this in the GBU was the correct thing to do... leaving lazy otter negative feedback on a transaction that did not take place was not the correct thing to do.

You know that the group in the Busse subforum are a pretty tight bunch, I would imagine that this thread of yours will be enough to keep a lot of them from ever selling to him... I know I would not.

I don't think that 'this working out in the end' is the point.

If someone wants to buy a knife and asks the seller to hold it for an agreed amount of days, and then backs out because he couldn't get the funds together, that's one thing.

If that someone decides to buy another knife with the funds he was putting together for a seller who is nice enough to hold a knife for him, well that's another thing completely. That's called being a grade A a$$hole.

The fact the seller was able to sell his knife after the fact has nothing to do with it....

As per forum rules, feedback should not have been left, as no actual transaction took place.

Lazy otter had bought a knife from you previously and paid installments on it? I don't see any feedback posted from you for him regarding that transaction. I agree with brboru7; negative feedback on a transaction that didn't occur just isn't right.

I didn't want to say anything but feel I must! I screwed the man over! I was buying knives left and right money was good I had a schedule wrote out and everything! Then I got a call only to find that I no longer have any income and may not for a long time. Now I didn't get another one and a freind is covering my Ganza buys not me and all will be sold. I did appologize and do feel like shit for this and other issues I caused, but you never wake up and expect to lose your income and due to medical reasons I can't just go get a job. Even though he never left feedback on our first transaction I think it was a good one and those that have delt with me and done payments knows this is not how I do buissness but this time yes I backed out of the deal. I am sorry but I don't even know how I'm gonna pay rent. So if I'm a bad guy with no integrity then so be it! But I hold no ill will or anger toward the poster just wish this would have gone down differently and that he would have posted about our good transaction too. Judge as you will.

That's been established, the feedback part is wrong, but NOT the point, either are previous transactions....

lazy otter asks for and receives an agreement to generously hold a knife until money is available. lazy otter then waits more then 4 weeks to advise that he bailing out on the deal for another knife.

IMHO, this warrants negative feedback.

I couldn't agree more, however that is against forum rules.

This thread, for those that can actually understand what happened, is enough...

I truly do feel bad for your situation. It's tough these days, and I hate to hear stories like this....
I wish you the best, and hope you get back on your feet financially, sooner then later.

I think maybe next time, the better choice would have been to have whoever is nice enough to fund your purchases at this difficult time, to pay them in order of the deals you made. Integrity is important, regardless of the situation.

Good man on lazy otter for posting an apology, and so hastely.

I dont think I wouldve made a thread about this, though.
