Here's the story :)

It's an old kettle a friend bought at a flea market for cheap as it didn't have those parts and I've made those for him.

It's a really nice kettle from older days, very thick metal that can take an abuse, not like the cheap paper thin ones we get lately around here (unless you go designer and pay top cash for it)

Now he has a robust and interesting piece to make tea :D

I bought a spatula about 24 years ago(75 cents at a garage sale). The wood handle finally gave out. So using some of the knife making skills found here, I made a very nice linen phenolic handle complete with corby bolts.

It is really amazing how the things I learn from from all of those who share their wisdom have helped me fix a lot of different things both at home and work (biotechnology industry).

Custom Kettles! Sounds like a catchy shop name to me....... Hell, I am about to rip apart the kitchen for things to customize. I am inspired. By the way, that looks awesome!
