BF 2024 forum knife GAW

Time for a GAW! I recently finished this forum knife, re-covering it in stag with a new shield. I am giving it away. It is #377, but the stamp on the bolster is fairly washed out now.











Rules. Very simple...you must own or have previously owned at least one of these 2024 forum knives to qualify for the GAW. If you sold or traded yours, that is fine, you are still eligible. This GAW is to honor those that participated and purchased at least one of these knives during the offering. I assume it would be easy enough to confirm if someone actually purchased one, but I'd like to think we are all honest on The Porch and won't have to check.

To enter, please post that you are in. I encourage sharing pictures, whether of the forum knife, your favorite knife, your dog, last night's supper, a hike, whatever. But that is not required. You could also share a knife memory, story of a loved one, etc. I'd prefer more than just "I'm in". These GAW are a way to bring the community together, IMO, and hope to learn more about each other.



If you bought one forum knife, then you get 1 entry. If you bought 2 or more, then you get 2 entries. If anyone purchases a remaining forum knife starting today and can show proof of purchase, then you get 3 entries.

Please only enter the GAW for yourself. That being said, you are free to give the knife away to anyone else, should you win. I would ask that the winner not resell the knife. Either keep it or give it away.

Here's a pic of my favorite knife, my dad's scout knife. I found it after he passed. I had no idea he still had it so there was a flood of emotions when I uncovered it. Lots of great memories there!



In the absence of a BFC knife, I consider the Buck Collector's Club knives to be a temporary (hopefully) replacement. This is the 2025 BCCI club knife, a 501 with Burgundy Burlap covers and for the first time ever on a 501, brass bolsters.



And of course my BF stockman #091.

This is the first 2024 that I picked up and have carried.



I did grab another one that has never left the tube. Great knives if you don’t mind the large size. I like a larger traditional knife, like the 98 camp knife that I carry frequently, so the 2024 forum knife was a good fit.

Knowing you were achieving such great results with "what you brung" tools was inspiring to me when you started working on knives and posting the results here.

I had actually considered having the covers on my 24 BF knife redone in stag since they were so light in color, but I decided to send it to Travis and have it dyed and I am extremely happy with it. This is a picture of it the day I got it back after @Travman & his brother-in-law Nathan worked their magic.
