BF Blue Native Clip Question

Now that I've received my Blue Native, I've run into a slight problem. The clip's screw is so tight I can't move the clip to the other side. I know I could probably get it loose with a couple of screw drivers, but I really don't want to scratch the screws up. Usually, a pair of pennies works on Spyderco's, but not this time.

Any suggestions?

Codeman, I had the same problem with my BF Native. What is happening is that one side of the clip screw fits firmly into the G10 scales. What I did was to take a quarter and clamp it in a vise-grip or grab it with a pair of pliers. Then try to loosen the screw from the clip side. When you get the screw loose, then you will need to hold the screw from the other side to remove it completely. The quarter is a softer metal than the stainless steel screw so you don't have to worry about damaging the clip screw.

Man, the screw on mine was so tight I chewed up four nickels, two quarters and a penny trying to get it loose. Gripping the the coins with a pair of pliers didn't help. Then I tried a screwdriver. The screw heads on both sides are slightly blemished, and I chipped a bit of the blue stuff off of the clip. But I managed to get it loose finally. Then you know what happened? The very next day somebody posted a question about the tight clip screw problem, and Danelle suggested WD40. Dang, why didn't I think of that?
