Just about every single transaction/member, whom I've dealt with here on BladeForums, has been exceptional!
The transaction I just completed with BF member, Kettleman, was at the very top in excellence/professionalism! He went way above and beyond.....
Sale Summary:
I had been looking for a user CRK Zaan here on the exchange for quite some time now. Monday afternoon, I finally, I hit the jackpot. I came across his very reasonably priced Zaan and immediately sent him a PM along with my phone number. Within a few minutes I had an incoming call, from Nebraska, it was K-man. We had really nice conversation, he even took the time to help educate me on the new highly desirable Magnacut blade steel everyone's been buzzing about. Towards the end of our conversation (it was very late afternoon time in Nebraska), he told me that he was in his office at work....but that he had a box and he'd try & get this shipped out as soon as he got off work, which is exactly what he did! Within an hour, I had an active USPS tracking number with the package already in the USPS system. Yesterday afternoon, I got home and this freaking amazing Zaan was in my mailbox waiting for me; LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, TO CARLSBAD, CA IN JUST 1 & 1/2 DAYS!! The Zaan was safely packaged with 100% packing tape around the entire outside of the box.
Even better yet, his sales thread had stated the following: "You can choose between the Norvox kit which is installed (the extra backspacer) or a new lanyard from my new one." << He included BOTH the Norvox kit (which looks so much better btw) AND the new lanyard from the CRK Zaan Magnacut he had just received.
^ It's member's like Kettleman, that make this place such an awesome place to enjoy this great hobby. I can't thank you enough!
Feedback here is very important, especially when involving newer member's, so please take the short time it takes, and leave feedback for your transactions, it does make a big difference, IMO.
As for the CRK Umnumzaan: IMHO, I don't think, that there's another knife/maker out there, that I find more aesthetically pleasing/toxic masculine, than the Zaan. There's a reason why CRK sets the highest standard for production made mid-level knives; the F&F/tolerances on their precision machined knives, is unsurpassed. Between the Big 3 (CRK Hinderer & Strider), I honestly don't think I'll ever be buying another newer model Strider knife; they no longer seem willing to compete with the QC standards for what you're paying for. Lock stick and blade centering being off on a $500-$600 production knife, is not acceptable.
So it's pretty freaking awesome, finally having another 'user' Zaan back in the EDC rotation. I totally regret a couple of the OP Zaans that I practically gave away....
