Most of my other spydercos tightly snap shut with a little push on the blade....but my BF Native doesn't snap closed like this...instead of tightly snapping/springing shut when the blade is pushed to close the knife, my BF Native doesn't really snap or spring closed until the blade is virtually inside the handleand even then it isn't a very strong snap.....is this normal....Thanks, JEFF

Just pulled it out to check..mine does the same thing..I like it. I don't know why it does it, we'll have to wait for Vince to fill us all in.

Did you ever ask Vince about this......i've also noticed that there is a considerable gap between the locker bar and the outer liner...usually these lock backs don't exhibit such a gap......why was this done! Thanks, JEFF

Mine was the same way. I experimented a bit, and loosened the screw holding the stop pin in place. Lockup was still perfectly tight (I did have to send it back to Spyderco originally to fix this, which they did very nicely), but the blade was snapped back very nicely. So I used a tiny drop of LocTite, and turned the screw so that it just bottomed out in the pin; i.e., no real torque applied. Now it's perfect.

Tepstein, I'm with you. Did the same thing. Half a drop of blue Loctite, along with a thorough cleaning of the pivot area and my BF native is easier to open and snaps closed better to.
