BF Native spring adjustments

I've just gotten a 2nd BF Native with a slight spring problem whereby the blade fails to snap shut (unlike my other one).

I searched and noticed another posting about this:
http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum20/HTML/000739.html

where there didn't seem to be any resolution.

I haven't taken to opening up the knife yet to see what's up (don't have the wrenches on me). Anyone else had this problem, or has done a spring adjustment on these? I know I could send it to Colorado, but I'm not sure it's worth the time and postage, since it's a minor nit plus maybe it's an easy do-it-yourselfer.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Technology's the answer, what's the question?

I am not a do-it-yourselfer, so I would send it to Spyderco for them to repair it. It should close sharply and stay firmly closed.

Longden,

I agree with Fuller, send it back to us and let us do the work

Hugh and Angela, thanks to you both.

I actually worked the blade for about an hour and the snap is there now. Still a wee bit of roughness around the pivot, but I'll see what another couple of days and some tuff-glide will do.

The problem isn't worth the effort to send it in. We all know knife-knuts just like to belly-ache about every little thing, is all

just so we can talk about the teeniest quantum mechanical details amongst other knuts.

I would've responded earlier with this, but my connection was down.

This was my modified Native with the added serrations on the swedge. Bet it would've raised some eyebrows back at the Spyderco fixit ranch
