For some reason my feedback comment was deleted. I left this whole post (slightly abbreviated) when I hit post it said an error occured. Tried again the next day and I wanted to put in "Not as described" in the short review. I hit post and it said I have already left feedback. And there is no way to edit. I am just trying to help the community be more aware and ask questions and ask for more pics if needed and for sellers to be more descriptive and honest. In no way shape or form is this to bash on a seller...

What was supposed to be left as feedback is below

Not as described. Quick to respond. Shipped fast. The Damned Designs ONI Ti was titled as "mint"... His mint and my mint are 2 totally different descriptions. I would have described it as a "grade [C] User". Pocket clip has a bunch of surface scuffs all over it and a couple, I think 2 small marks on scales (I myself couldn't even take a pic to show how small the marks are (on the sharp edges of the scales from being used) and full of pocket fuzz. For what it is and what I paid, I'm OK👌with it, but some people are really picky. If it was a Sabenza kind of money, I wouldn't be OK with it... I don't think its worth giving less than neutral feedback with constructive criticism. No hard feelings, just needs to be more descriptive next time please.

Did you notify the seller of your issue with the knife?

Yea, that looks like it has been used and carried a bit. I personally don't like mint, NIB, LNIB ect because they are loosely defined at best and yield subjective perceptions. Case in point.

You say your feedback comment was deleted. Was it posted in the sales thread? If so, it was likely a mod that did so and correctly. Sales threads are not the place for feedback.

Threads like this are perfect (ideally after issues are brought to the other party and not resolved) for bringing these types of issues.

I think "neutral" feedback is not a bad decision based on the info given. My only recommendation would would to include the reason. On his feedback, you only state the positives and leave out what dropped it to neutral.

When leaving feedback, there's the "short review" portion and the "comment" portion. I believe that the "short review" can be seen by everybody and the "comment" can only be seen by recipient. From my experience, a lot of people leave the "review" of the transaction in the comment area. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I left this whole write up I left here in the "comment portion" (slightly abbreviated) when I hit post it said an error occured (which happened before) and I was going to try again later. The next day (today) I tried again and it said that I have already left feedback. I cant view what i wrote in the comments and I cant change it. When I tried earlier I put in "Not as described" in the "short review" section because I forgot to put it in

I didn't contact him. Im ok with it because it will make me carry and use it. If it was mint I probably wouldn't do so and for what I paid, Im good. No hard feelings. But I wanted to have him see the feedback and better describe his items. Also others that are looking into this seller on a more expen$ive knife and just ask for more pics and ask questions Just trying to help the community. In the sales thread I clicked on leave feedback. I wrote this whole thing I posted here slightly abbreviated and hit post and it said an error occured. I was kinda glad it did because i forgot to put in "not as described" in the short review section. I tried again today and it said I have already left feedback and I cannot edit it. Now it just looks like I accidentally hit NEUTRAL...

The seller did a great job positioning that knife to hide those scratches with the lighting.

Like new? I’m sure he wouldn’t mind buying a new car after having the salesman run a shopping cart down the side of it either. 🤣

Id be mad if it was a car...

Not sure what you’re referring to.

I just checked the thread you linked to and no “Moderator Action” has taken place.

Also the Neutral feedback you left is viewable on Knifensupply Knifensupply profile page.
I updated this with some more info. I wrote all this and it said error occured. Next day said I have already left feedback and I cant edit... And I cannot see it. Just the short review that I wanted to edit (not as described) before I left feedback. The neutral feedback looks lime a mistake now...

The pocket lint surrounding the standoffs make it clear that that knife has been carried, and those scratches make it look like it was definitely clipped to a pocket the several times the seller brushed against a door frame or the like. In any case, "mint" it is not. I'd send it back and request a refund, or else a significant discount should be in the cards.

Absolutely. Based on your photos and video, Knifensupply Knifensupply describing that piece as “mint” isn’t just inaccurate; it’s borderline dishonest. Not sure I get the rationale for your transaction feedback title given that responding and shipping quickly don’t mean much if the knife isn’t accurately described to begin with. To each his own but I also don’t get why you wouldn’t contact him directly when you are obviously disappointed with how the transaction ended up going down. Maybe he’d be willing to make it right and other BF members wouldn’t be hesitant to deal with him in the future.

To be honest I thought “mint” was a term for the knives that haven’t been sharpened or in a good condition. I carried it maybe 3 or 4 times. I usually mention if a knife has issues or send additional pictures and videos to the buyers if they asked. I am sorry again for the miss understanding. It’s my first negative feedback.

"Mint condition is an expression used to denote the quality of a pre-owned good as displaying virtually no imperfections and being in pristine condition relative to its original production state."

Most seller's use the term LNIB. That knife is 100% NOT mint/LNIB.

In my opinion, calling a knife in that condition LNIB, while not quite the stretch as calling it Mint, is still not an accurate description. There is nothing "like new" about a scratched up pocket clip, frame, and other clear signs of being carried or used. If it came from a dealer in that condition it'd be sent back.

I detest single word descriptions or acronyms to describe condition. They are way too subjective to be meaningful. If one simply says mint, NIB, or LNIB, it better be in the condition that it came from the dealer or factory. And a solid specimen at that.

It is best to give a full description of any flaws, unless it is perfect, even if it has never been used , carried or sharpened. If it were carried and showed no flaws, you could say carried a few times, but still in like Mint condition. This one doesn't seem to qualify for either. The buyer shouldn't have to pull the description out of you. Both parties are better off with full disclosure. Shipping isn't free and there is nothing to be gained hiding faults only to get the knife back.
Hopefully you will do better in the future

The fact that you’re willing to step up and admit to the rookie mistake of being misinformed with respect to description specifics means a lot around here. Regardless, many of us will be willing to give you the benefit of any lingering doubt. Contact OP and work something out. Maybe he’d ask a mod to let him add an addendum to his feedback or at least change his GB&U title to reflect an agreed upon resolution. Seems like a pretty easy going fella. We all make mistakes. Wish you both all the best with this.
