Mike,
I read in the Microtech Balisong thread that you said that as of May 1 you will no longer own BFC and 1sks. Is this true or did I fall for another April Fools day joke? That was the first I've heard of it. How will this affect BladeForums?

Yes, this is true. I will announce more later but I will remain on here as admin and so forth. I have many projects in the works including the MT deal and others.

Right now I need to concentrate on those and 1SKS and BFC will be in good hands

The new owner will remain a silent partner and I will work with him to make sure the transition is smooth and for the most part it will be transparent.

Stay tuned.

For the time being, just to put your guy's minds at rest...

I'm going to be remaining at the helm, so you aren't going to see any radical changes. Business will remain "as usual" so you aren't going to see any changes, nor will you see a decrease in the level of service.

Ok, so what is the NAME of the "new" dude that I'll be bothering, in order to get a moderators' position here, now, due to this pending "change"???.

Mike, much success with your new projects, thanks for all you've put into this place.
Spark, it's good to know you'll still be at the helm.

I can't write no more...I'm getting kind of misty eyed.

Actually I heard it was two new co-owners.
Barbara Boxer and Diane Fienstein.

I have it on good authority that Benchmade has bought out 1SKS/Bladeforums.

This is sad news for sure.

I'm glad to hear Spark will still be running the show. Maybe he's the new owner???

Mike, in case I forget to say it later, thank you for all you have done for the forums, and I enjoy participating here.

Thanks, also, for running a first class operation at 1SKS. I'll continue to do business with such an excellent company.

Thanks!!!

Not knowing specifics, or the future, I'd like to put in my thanks as well for Mike. BladeForums' success is a monument to Mike's vision and a lot of hard work. Way to go! Best of luck to you on future endeavors!

Well I'm glad things aren't going to change too much around here. I do wish you lots of luck with this new venture. Can't wait to see what a MicroTurber bali song will look like!

Let's see... someone who recently left their job, has lots of money and nothing to do... someone who prefers to remain a "silent partner..."

Oh no! This can only mean one thing! The answer is clear!

It's...

It's...

It's Al Gore!

Yes I do have that tight feeling in my chest. If things stay the same, no problem. So I guess it is time to take a deep breath, relax and wait and see what the future brings.

I want to add my thanks to Mike for all he has done to make BladeForums what it is today. I will follow with great interest your association with Microtech, and wish you all the best. Don't be a stranger.
