BFC Membership Drive for servers: Knifemaker's Forums, Lower $ for Dealers, giveaways

Is Gold as high as you go, I upgraded to gold a few months ago?

Nope, Go for the Platinum, The platinum club is really good and has soooo
many more benefits for the money, especially for Spark anyway:D

Spark... After upgrading to dealer status will I still be able to sell knives from my collection (non-dealer knives) in the regular for-sale forums?

sure, sounds fair

If you've got some friends ... some knife knut friends ... who are having a bit of a hard time in this economy ... why not gift them a gold or platinum membership?

You support Spark and the Site and put a smile one someone's face at the same time..

This is a great idea!. A great fellow knife nut and a fine friend in here just turned me from purple to gold. So I passed it on and turned another friend from blue to purple. Big :D's for everyone and for a great cause. I hope more folks do the same.

Already a Flatinum member enjoying those cool drinks in the hospitality suite....how can I simply make a monetary donation to the cause?

Hey there, my Gold runs out on 12-22-08, can I get a Platinum membership before that due date? If so, will my start time as a platinum member be immediate or do I have to wait until december?

Thanks guys, J.

Incorrect. The two memberships will overlap, with the platinum being valid for 1 year from the day it was purchased.

What happens with the knifemaker subscriptions? I renewed my regular 1 year a couple months ago, and just did the 3 year sign up a couple days ago.

I'm pretty excited about the forum part, but unsure how it all works if suscriptions overlap or not.

If you purchase the same level that you had before, time is just tacked onto the end of the current subscription. It's when you purchase two separate levels that they overlap.

BTW, your forum should be live in a bit, I'm working on some backend stuff with a tech that needs to get resolved first.

My Platinum membership just expired. If individual dealer forums are possible, I'd be interested.

Thanks,
Phillip :)

No worries, thanks much for all of this!

Just wondering if the individual forum area topic had been decided?

Thanks,
P :)

My thoughts as well. I owe this forum gratitude.

Let us know, please.

Notdos, I'm not sure at this time. I'm considering several things. Since I'm adding knifemaker forums, I'm leaning to individual dealer forums, yes. Similar deal to the knifemaker forums thouhg, several year commitment will be required.

Regarding donations, I really hate taking money in donation form.

Well, I ponied up for the dealer subscription yesterday. Like notdos, I am very interested in the dealer forum option, and would be willing to sign up for a multi year commitment.

Hey, Spark-- what kind of computer gear are you looking for? I have a couple pallet loads of servers (really!) I'm working on at the moment.

We went to a managed hosting solution, hopefully the bugs can be worked out shortly. Though if you have a nice firewall & box for an exchange server, I could surely use them.
