Bg-42 & d2

Thanks Stephen. I really liked everything about the BG-42 offerings except the Dymondwood covers...as you know. :)

G10 is nice, but linen Micarta with finger grooves would knock it out of the park for me...ivory, black or maroon.
The pocket clip is a biggie for me. I've added pocket clips to a few edc's for right hand, tip up carry and love them! I may never strap on another belt sheath again...I love them that much!
I've always liked the clip point, but I'm starting to really like a drop point now. Your BG-42 drop point was excellent.
I'm also a big fan of using upgraded steel...a high flat grind would be a big plus for me.
Eric put a medallion in one of his offerings last year and I thought it added a quality look to the 110...but I'd still purchase without.

Life is too short not to use the best you can. :)

Here is maroon Micarta added to one of your BG-42 offerings.

Here is a pocket clip I added to one of the recent 5160 offerings. I carry this one most of the time now. The bright pocket clip would look better on nickel

The bright pocket clip would have looked better on nickel silver bolsters. This thing just disappears in my pocket...even though it's still 7+ ounces. I even carry in inside running shorts. :)

Those are some of my thoughts and hopefully others will give you some things to think about.

Stumps!

Thanks for that feedback. That is a lot of good info! I too like the idea of a belt clip for a 110. I talked with the Buck guys and they say a belt clip won't work so well in Nickel/Silver because the metal is too soft. I refuse to do any knife in brass, ever. So, we are brainstorming some options. Stay tuned and thanks for the input!

Would a whole new stainless frame be possible ? Insted of Brass or Nickel/Silver ?

I'm not home right now to look, but I believe my Buck Vantage has an excellent low rider pocket clip that goes over the top of the frame and is secured into the steel spacer. That configuration would be way better than what I have done aftermarket by connecting the pocket clip into the brass bolster.

Great idea Stumps , I think the Vantage clip is one of the best ! The Knife can't ride in your pocket any lower , it's perfect IMO . The only problem I see putting it on the 110 would be drilling and tapping the steel on the 110 . The screws are so tiny ?
