BG Boss Jack is here!

Would be very keen to see a spine/handle shot of the BG-BJ alongside a JMD as I really like the Boss Jack blade profile but the JMD handle is just too thin.

I'd be happy to do this mine comes in. It's been dinged, but hasn't shipped yet. I ended up liking the JMD handle a ton once I put some miles on it. I have average sized hands, size large gloves.

These pics aren't making the wait for the BJ much easier... :)

This came today, I thought I would not like the feel but this one is likely going to be a user.

Can't wait! Can't wait! Can't wait!
Keep the pics coming, it helps me endure the wait.
Thanks for taking the time.

Thx for the pics.

It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the slabs are the same thickness, but the BJ is a thicker grip overall due to the thicker stock? Maybe the contouring is not quite as deep?
If the black lines in the g10 are roughly the same thickness the BJ has 5 whereas the JMD has 4. The BJ stock is thicker as well. The BGBJ's are much more palm filling.

Thanks man, been looking forward to comparing those two in hand for a while now. Sounds like both will be users/keepers for me.

Nice trio. Is the top one a Bowie type clip point?

I have been looking at this quite a bit. I am impressed how every O2W offering's end product looks better than its advertised pic.

Thanks for sharing Brian77

Awesome!

For those looking to compare or get a size reference...

Here is the Bark River Bravo 1.5 and the Fiddleback Duke. Both of them are awesome knives in the mid range sizes. I think the bravo 1.5 handles better and feels more balanced. I am thinking I will remove most of the "heel" on the BJ and strip it. That should change the feel, and make it faster in the hand. Its a great knife, just has a little more sluggish feel to the Bravo.

Show us pics after the mod please! Also what will you use to remove the heel?

Don't know what he's gonna use, but I used a Dremel-tool with a cut-off wheel for the rough cut. Then a coarse sanding drum, and progressively finer sandpaper. On a BAE2.
