BG42 Choices

Hi,
I've noticed SOG is going to produce an X-42 version of the AutoClip with a tanto style blade in BG42. Are there any plans to make other folders or fixed blades in BG42?

Hi Wayne,

Right now, the only knives for 2000 in BG-42 are the X-42 AutoClips and the X-42 Recondos.

Each year at the SHOT Show in January, we introduce new products for the coming year. Right now, I don't know if we are planning add any more BG-42 knives for 2001, but it certainly might be a possibility.

We do have some really exciting new product under development for the new year, but you'll have to wait till it is unleased in January to see it.

Hi All,
Just the idea of an autoclip in BG42 leaves me all shaky.

I have been less than impressed with ats34 especially in sub-zero weather, but BG42 seems to stand up to the cold and it's still easy to sharpen.
As a metalsmith, I must say that the BGrade steels make far better blades than many of the more highly touted stainless materials.
