BGAD or RMD

Almost the same cost on these two, I have the RS and while a 2nd small Busse/Kin would be nice, I'm thinking RMD should be my next purchase since I gave my Kabar Mark 1 and Tops Bob away I've got nothing in the 4-6" fixed category.. I know, I know just by both, I would but I was just dinged for my TGLB, and need another paycheck before I can do both.

So the choice as it were, is to order one, payday is two weeks away, the RMD could sell out, the BGAD will sell out.

What cha all think?
 
My .02's is get the BGAD cause it's definitley gonna sell out and clock is ticking. Think you stand a better chance of the RMD being around longer

This one.

The RMD will always be around................. kind of.

These BG AD's will sell out. and Jerry said it will be at least a year if ever if you see them again.

Now if you will never buy another knife I would get a RMD, because you have the smallish knife covered with the RS.
 
In the in the 4-6" fixed category - I cant argue with the Du - I finally got a Swat Man Du and its simply perfect. Great all around knife and would make a great replacement for the K-Bar

(and its INFI !!)

But either of them Reg or INFI would work well in this style :thumbup:

Nothing in the 4" to 6" range, you say? And you already have a RS? Seems to me the decision has been made for you.

Get the Du! :thumbup: :D

These guys do have a point - and I would be hard pressed in your situation to not get the AD ....

Lord the insanity has me talking out of both sides of my mouth....:eek:
 
Well I conteplated a 2nd TGLB for two weeks before pulling the trigger only 4 hours before they were sold out.....

I have this feeling that the RMD will be going soon as well, kinda the same feeling I had when I considered getting a back up RS and within a week it was gone, missed out on that one.

I like the looks of the BGAD, and it seems David Brown and AzWelke will be making pants for them, so that is at least one concern off the list. These limited runs are really going to make sheathing options limited as well. I see Skyler is not making as many Busse/Kin sheaths as he did before. Already I still need to properly sheath my 1111, and thankfully David still has one to make them with...

And my RS is in dire need of an IWB sheath.....I have too much need/wants to keep up with it all.

Maybe I should just pass for now and properly dress my RS and 1111.

One last question, If I submit a new order to Busse, but have an order already being made, they will ship them seperate? I'd hate for them to not ship my TGLB while waiting for a BGAD to be made.

Nothing lasts forever and the RMD has been in production for a long time. But it's a mainstay of the SR line and arguably the finest 5" utility blade on the planet. I, for one, will be sad to see it go.
 
I say go with the ratmandu, it's great...

I got a great custom ratmandu today, maybe it will sway you. It's on the left, nuclear harpoon ratmandu with more of a fusion style handle on it with a spike on the bottom. It's stupid comfy. Here it is with the bruiser family

 
The whole reason I got a RMD,, was the answer to my "if I could only have one knife"
