BGSFNO is 7" long (blade), 0.25" thick. BGFSH is 8.25" long (blade), and either 0.187" or 0.3125" thick. So, similar-ish. I think the blade profile is a little different, too. But not by much.

You might be thinking of the NMSFNO. Very similar blade to a FSH, different handle.

Yes you are correct... They seem to be very similar.... I also have an SHe on order and thought they may be very similar.?

IMHO the SFNO is an iconic and most useful Busse blade. The LEs are gone, down to a single CG.

They're similar for sure. But it is that ever-so-slightly less dropped point of the SFNO that does it for me. I'm not a big fan of spear-points, and the closer the blade profile is to that, the less I like it.
Plus, the butt of the two knives are COMPLETELY different. I've worked with blades with that big drop, almost a talon, at the butt. Particularly in chopping, it is a big problematic hot spot. Blades I've worked with in the past with the butt similar to the SFNO have been much more comfortable, with barely any loss in chopping power.

To me, the SFNO or NMSFNO is an extremely well thought out knife, very aesthetically pleasing, above almost all others. ARGH! I wish I had jumped on that one. I guess i'll just continue cruising the exchange ...
