Bhakta's East Meets West Special

Very interesting! Nice snag BB, I would've jumped into the waters if I had gotten here sooner.

Dude! I really like that pair of pants for that blade. That red & black with brass tip looks pretty glam to me, just like my high school colors!

Yeah, the pants helped the decision a lot! Cool HS colors, ours were brown and orange, yuck. However, my Boy Scout troop kerchief colors were red and black that looked sharp. We also had a 63' black Ford Fairlane woodside wagon with the red interior that I thought was cool as well. I guess I'm gauche.

Yes according to Auntie for at least a while. Perhaps as piece work like Thamar. I'll take whatever I can.

Dang! That is the finest looking thing I seen in a long time! WoW!!! Grats BB! Definitely has some falcata and Kopis character!

I was wondering the same thing philllll? Hes Bhak?

Yangdu told me he's making a few knives for them but he's not really working for them.
Same as Thamar as I understand it.

Any we can get out of them is good. They both have real talent.

I received the piece today, not sure where to start. Bhakta must be a master craftsman if this item is not a usual piece. The craftsmanship is exemplary, the finish is perfect even though a villager but, the design is new, refreshing and not traditional. Beautiful none the less. Wonderful lines, balance and weight for the cross over for so many tasks. A true home run out of the park

Don't forget, we want a detailed writeup and lots of pictures. :)

Pictures of the Bhakta East Meets West:

There's not much to not love about this piece. I really like the copper handle rivets with the brass liners contrasting with the dark wood slabs. I also like the way the tang tapers gradually from .188" to .400" where it transitions into the spine. Besides the matte finish on the steel, the fit and finish are impeccable. It seems to have a neutral balance, neither front or rear heavy. I especially like the red and black pants. While it's far from small at 19.5" 32 ounces, it's dwarfed by the 30" 56 ounce Janawar Katana. I see a trend developing for the red leather scabbard.

, that is one beautiful blade BB! Really spectacular, now I really want one. I am green with envy...seriously though, it is gorgeous.

Dang thats sleek and has all the right lines! Hope we see more? Hey... no cho? Almost looks like a two hander!

Definitely not a two hander. More like a cross between a Falcata and a Farmcata grip wise.
