I still love that handle on the 25.

It is a beauty!
Hard to tell in the pictures but the circumference at the hilt is more than the guard area. Also it's more oval at the guard and round at the pommel. This locks it into your grip and your hand wont slide off the back end.
I imagine the wood work wasn't easy to do with desert ironwood being so hard to work with.

You're right, that wasn't readily apparent in the pics, but I'm not surprised it's so well done. My stag Randalls are done like that to varying degrees. I used to work with wood and Ironwood sure isn't easy to work with, but having the right tools helps. That and the patience to bring out the beauty like they did there. I'm suprised you still have it.

They are great knives LW. If I didn't have this one already I'd consider it.

No kidding about that. I already have a stag handled 25 and I'd still have bought this one a couple postings back if some dufus at the post office hadn't given the OP bad info about shipping to an APO. Arg! I'd probably have snagged the bushbaby too, just for the hellofit.

Ah the mysteries of APO shipping.. One more thing to look forward too at ETS/retirement :)

Stay safe.

LMT, I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but bumping doesn't work here. You're still on page 9 and the only one's seeing in now are myself and syntaxerrorsix. You'll have to repost the bushbaby. Good luck with it.

Thank you. I am aware of your point but you may not know that many here check the "last post" feature which does bump to the top in that mode.
