BHK Boatail Scandi vs. Bushcrafter.

My buddy has a boat-tail and it is nice. A little bit short for a primary knife, but great company to a chopper.

I have the bushcrafter w/scandi grind and it is one of my favs. Hands down one of the most comfortable I own and I have some nice ones. I have medium sized hands and it fits perfect. It’s a bit thick but takes a beating. Cuts great and sharpens up fast.

I ended up picking a BHK Bushcrafter in scandi. Worked out well and fits my hands good.

Nice. I am a huge fan of BHK and I recently got a Scandi ground Bushbaby, love it!

Yea the bushbaby is on my list. Maybe another scandi or the flat grind with convex edge. Sounds like yours has worked out good. Not sure yet but low cash will keep that idea on the back burner for now. I own a Tiger Knapp in scandi. The only odd thing with that knife is a very very very slight bend but I might have done that as used it working (aka baton) some wood. Not enough to worry about and it's my EDC.

Good news, the batoning of this black birch didn't put as very very very very slight bend in the necker.

It doesn't look like much but Black birch which isn't punky can be hard. I check my Cap Knapper and it has the same micro bend which can only be seen by laying the knife flat on a table and giving it a spin on the same side opposite side of the BHK logo. The Cap knapper is based on a small tiger knapp. It must be something to do with the hardening/manufacture and isn't a problem. The Tiger Knapp has got to be one of the most hard core neckers going. It still shaved after batoning and lost of cuts in hard wood.
