This is an unusual knife. It has the PLSK-1 profile and proportions, but it's a hand-made custom by Dan Coppins, made recently under his company Battle Horse Knives (shown by the diamond logo on the blade).
As part of a "Dan Coppins Special" series, this knife is made from 4140 steel, which is the same material BHK used to make their first knives back when they started out. It is saw blade steel, basically, and is hardened in the low 50 RC range. Here's a link to a BHK Bushcrafter made from the stuff...

This is #3 in the DC Special series. It is the only PLSK-1 model in the series, and also the only PLSK-1 I know of that is made from 4140. This is 5/32" thick, 10" long with 4.75" of handle and 5" of cutting edge. The blade has a flat saber grind with a flat microbevel. The handles are very slim, and are bead-blasted black canvas micarta with brass pins and lanyard tube (a very large one at that). It balances on the first pin.
It is very sharp and durable - I pruned my grapevines with it (a run about 200 feet long and 6 feet tall) and stropped it a couple of passes on a piece of leather just to clean the edge off. There is some patina but I see no signs of damage.
It includes leather sheath, as shown.
The price is SOLD, including US shipping and paypal. International buyers must pay shipping at cost - please inquire via PM or email.
