BHQ just recently put the Kershaw Shield up on it's New Arrivals page.
I had this knife on my wishlist (since January, kinda forgot about it), so let's see how long it takes for me to get my "in-stock" email...
A lot of people have had a similar complaint as far as BHQ sending out these notifications way too late to be of any use.
I'm not expecting this budget Kershaw to sell out quickly, so maybe we can do a little experiment and see (roughly) how long it takes between "knife goes up on New Arrivals" and "email alert hits your inbox".
Because let's face it, if that time frame is more than a few hours, it's basically useless for new arrivals, especially popular releases that sell out in hours, or less.
I'm starting the timer at about 4:00pm PST.
What I really need (and would be happy to work with BHQ to implement) is an email alert that lets me know when to expect the item to appear on the New Releases page.
How bout an email on Monday that tells me to check New Arrivals on Wednesday for that new Spyderco...?
Is it by design that they want me checking the New Arrivals page several dozen times per day? Why? I'm not going to buy 99% of those knives.
How bout do me a solid and tell me when to be on the lookout, so I don't have to spend a cumulative hour of my day hitting F5 on New Arrivals...
Been about 30mins. No email yet...
