Bick Irons

Forged up a couple bick irons for a customer in Canada, still have to forge the shanks and weld them together. forged from 1045 and 4340. For those not familiar, a bick iron is a small anvil, usually on a stake mounted into the vise or a stump or in the anvil, they are finer in horn and heel for finer small work on different things.

very nice. I made a cople for a friend who was doing copper work. I will admit that mine weren't as nice as yours.:o
 
Sam, great work as always! I'd love to talk to you about some bench anvils for my mini knives sometime.

How will you attach a post? Or will you? Do you HT them? I have lot's of questions. They look really cool!

Stalbot, I will weld them together, post heat treat, with pre and post heating.
