Amy,

I haven't been on the Forum since the first of the year, have been real busy with a new job that I took and change of hours. This is sad to me, but I understand as family does come first. You will be so glad that you made the correct decision. This will also result in "no regrets". I was able to tell my Dad, that I had no regrets whatsoever about the time that I spent with him and took care of him, you will do the same.

As someone else so adequately stated you are a genuine person, I will never forget my first encounter with the Busse family, you, Jerry and the gang made me feel like i had been around Busse Combat for years. Thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do. You have a heart of gold.

Ronnie

How true!! :) ...Dang it! :(
Ah, well...How many folks can say that they were lucky enough in their lifetime to have met and enjoyed the company of perfection personified? We can!

What I love about Amy is how everyone in the Busse family is important and special to her.

I had never actually met her in person, only e-mailed and called her. Then on the Thursday morning before Blade '10 I was sitting eating my breakfast in the Waverley dining area when I heard a very familiar voice behind me. There was Amy all decked out in yellow and black getting ready to attack the days work of finishing off the booth. (no small job)

I walked over to her, introduced myself and she threw her arms around me and gave me a huge hug! ..........She is a wonderful warm person.

Even though (compared to some) I am a small buyer of Busse knives I was always treated by her as though I was the most important customer. I always felt special dealing with her and she was able to arrange stuff for me that I never thought would be possible from a large company like Busse.

Jerry must be heartbroken to loose such a valuable and important member of his family, and Amy's folks are so lucky to have a daughter who loves and cares for them so much that she is willing to change her whole life and uproot herself to look after them. It says so much about Amy and I love her for it.

Amy......I wish you everything of the best my dear and I hope that in the years to come you visit us all at Blade.

Much love from down South.........

Steven

WOW. I have been busy and not had time to check in. this is shocking and sad. But Family First. Thanks Amy for all your service.

I have the utmost respect for people who take care of their own. It is not an easy job to take care of some who is sick, but ultimately doing something difficult for someone else is the essence of what love truly is. I have never met Amy, but I wanted to offer my admiration and best wishes to her and her family.

Those are some fine memories, aren't they?

I'm trying hard to make Blade again this year ... but it won't be the same.
