Bid Farewell To The HACK Bear Cub. . . .

No, please NOT fat! The 0.22" of the original and current SFNO is plenty.

There should be room for both. I have a saber grind in .22 and a flat grind in .22; at Blade I got to hold Troy's .27 saber I can see that the thicker blade would make the SFNO a usable chopper in a smaller blade.

So why not a CG .22 and .27 LE or the other way like the ASH-1 was done with the LE the thinner blade.

In my opinion in this knife the Saber grind makes the knife work better or maybe a full convex to keep the blade weight up.

Amen to that brother! RG speaketh the trutheth!:D

edit to add: If this release is going to be a saber grind, IMO there would be no need to go more than a 0.220". Plenty of girth on the spine/tip/etc.

Why not both like was offered in the ASH-1?

Fare thee well, Bear Cub... and tell that outlaw friend of yours to stop by A.S.A.P. :p

Fare thee well, small knife
Our little HACK Bear Cub
You must leave us for a while

And though you go,
You'll be ground again
Though not from an INFI pile, my dear
Though not not from an INFI pile

The hills will never fly away, my dear
Nor the rocks melt with the sun
But I'll have an aneurism if the SFNO
Isn't on the site real soon
Isn't on the site real soon

After handling the NMFBM I really hope the new SFNO has the melt down treatment and is no thicker than .27 with a sabre grind. When the Boss lets us know the specs, this Swan Song will truly be over. Where's the fat lady at? We have the lyrics to her song!

Not for the swan song, though. That involves Lohengrin returning to Valhalla after Elsa of Brabant betrays her only vow to him. And it's in German and I barely sprech Englisch.

O.K., we bid farewell a week ago, now lets get the next new offering up!!!!!

THE FOLDER!!!!

I'm starting to think it's NOT going to happen until AFTER Knob Creek. That way Busse can focus on getting all their blades together for the the big show, then when it's all done, THEN> start on gearing up for one of the largest volume orders in the history of Busse next to the ASH1. Just a thought; but if they put out the SNFO now, then many would shoot their load on the SNFO and not have enough for the Knob Creek show and the ensueing Ganza afterwards????
I'm trying to calm myself down and not get overzealous, SINCE I"VE BEEN CHECKING THE FORUM NIGHT AND DAY SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHH> he needs his Zanex now! who know, if the waiting continues I might actually have to resort to drinking like other HOGS have done :-)

Don't forget all the customs that won't sell at the Knob that will be offered in a Knoboganza!

Na-na-na. Here is my thought - what they might do (pre Knob Creek) is to bring the SFNO up on the site for sale and take orders. As they do this they build a variety of SFNOs inventory to sell and to show at the Creek - This helps build the excitement and order momentum for the web sales. Then in aprox Busse 2 Week time (3 months) they ship in time for Christmas.

Himmmm - sounds like a Boss Man move doesn't it????:D:thumbup:;)
