this is my first bowie in this style also the largest knife I have made so far hope you like it and thanks for looking comments always welcome

12-3/16" tip to guard 18-1/8" oal 1/4"thick top swedge not sharp , 58-59 hardness ht'd in temp controlled oven

80crv2 high carbon steel hand sanded to 400 grit then scotchbrite high flat grind

black g10 guard Chechen handle tung oil finish then carnuba wax

leather sheath

That's an impressive blade, sir! I am enjoying the look of the guard.

No way that's sword-like. Guys like me tote a 12" blade all the time. 8)
 
That's a good looking bowie congrats but I have to ask what are the notches in the blade for.
