John Smythe, living in Vancouver, B.C., and possibly doing business as IronWolf Forge, owes me a knife/money and at least one other person a sheath. He WAS a Moderator at the old Swamp Rat Knives, but was banned from there as well. Buyers Beware!!!:mad:
 
If it is the same IronWolf (IronWolf Forge) as the member here, he took a lot of people for their money during a Forum Knife build back in ~2007. He proposed a knife, took orders & deposits, said it was finished and then had everyone pay the remainder. After a long delay for finished knives, some didn't get knives and the ones who did got pure & utter crap knives and sheaths. Due to the number of complaints, he said he would replace them. Of the ones who sent them back, I don't know if any ever got a replacement knife. He just sort-of slinked away and never came back.

I personally suspect some sort of substance abuse, how else could he have made sheaths with firesteel loops too small to hold even a pencil and which was stained on only one side? The knife? -ugh.

This Ironwolf Forge was located in WI, though.
 
As far as names, this is a different IronWolf. The forum knife IronWolf had the last name of Nelson, (Ken I believe). He shipped 2 crap ones,took me for 2 other knives, a lot of promises and no responses.

It is dissapointing to hear this IronWolf has possibly done the same, he seemed like a good guy based on how I remember his posts. Of course they all seem nice in the beginning.....
 
Jon also goes by Britania forge (need to check spelling)
He moved to Parksville over a year ago, he was active on this forum in the Canadian subforum
I paid him for a sheath I never got, and he doesn't seem to be online anymore
