After enjoying two or three Black & Tans, I decided to make a full size Becker bushcrafter. Still got some finish work to do, but I'll be damned if it didn't turn out
to be exactly what I was looking for. I've got some nice figured maple for scales and some polishing and clean up to do, but just wanted to post a couple of WIP pics.

I'll post it up when I'm done, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Very interesting! Can't believe you destroyed a 10 for that though!!! I thought for sure this was a 2 at first... o_O

Oof. It turned out cool as heck. I didn't guess 10 cuz only a crazy person would kill a LE BK10, but I guess a drunken crazy person would too.....

Damn. I wasn't expecting that. Just how many beers did you have exactly?

Photoshop shenanigans. That was really one of the five BK-8's in existence when he started. Nice grinding! The tiny trout approve.

wow.. that looks great... definitely takes a set to do that to a 10.... i guess when they are rereleased it won't seem as crazy :)

 Yeah, pretty much that ^^^^ I was thinking a BK-7 was the patient. Turned out good though. As long as it is what you want, who cares. Looks super functional.

I never cared for the 10, would have never carried it and I don't own any drawer queens. I'll use it now.

Wow I like, minus the choil but thats all preference. You should have sold the 10 to someone who really wanted one then bought a 7 and ground that down, I dont care for the 10 either btw.

That turned out really nice. The 10 is thin enough that it'll work as a bushcraft blade, too. Not sure I could do that to an LE 10, but I understand that everything gets used. Same way around here.

i see mods like this and the ones people do on opinels etc and i wonder how you remove stock and regrind, presumably on a belt, without ruining the heat treatment? i guess a little at a time- being careful not to let it get hot...?

Well done Trade. Looks like you could drill through concrete with that tip.

I love it!! I think I skipped a beat when I saw that it was a 10. But then again, if it's yours you can do whatever you want to with it. Amen on the no safe queens. I bought an LE10 and never used it so I sold it and now I have a 9 and a couple of 14's. I don't think Ill ever buy another LE just because it doesn't make sense for me.

Congrats on a really great looking blade!!

Same here with the LE. Never used it, so I got rid of it. Only 180 made, so I didn't want to mar it up. Now I have the Camillus version that I do use. BTW, I do like the 10. I think it's an awesome blade.

:grumpy: So much for a beautiful 10....... nice work though. AND....... if you love the mod, then enjoy!
