Again, I made a knife for hiking in the Adirondacks. I think I went overboard on this one, cause it is a bit too large to be carrying with all the other gear.

I have begun construction on another knife, so this one has got to go.

Here are the specs.

The steel is forged 5160. I left the ricasso area the oxidized black from forging. The rest is hand sanded to 400 grit.

The handle is curly maple and it is held together with 5 pins and a tube.

The blade is 11" long. The spine is fully file patterned with a vine pattern.
The handle is 7 1/2 " long and just allows me a double handed grip.

Price - $265 shipped without a sheath, $285 with a kydex sheath.

That is a hand-and-a-half chopper for sure. Awesome knife and I don't think much will stand in it's way.

Ok let's see you make a sheath for that big knife or is that a half sword

Looks of room on that handle....

Very cool chopper, great lines!

Thanks everyone. it ate up a lot of grinding belts to make, but it is a great knife. I will be kind of sad to see it go, but it is sold, pending payment.

This is worthy of one of those, "That's not a knife. THIS is knife", moments. That is an absolutely outstanding piece:thumbup:  . Great Work!
