I retrieved a big bolt lug, thread about 3" in diameter, weighing about 4 pounds, of the kind used to secure containers on truck trailers. There's a huge logistic depot near my office, and a lot of trucks pass by. One of these lost this (luckily enough there wasn't anybody around, or it could have caused serious injury!).
I took it because I just couldn't let such a piece of steel go to waste, but I haven't the faintest idea about what to do with it.
It's probably mild steel, and heavy: I could make a bench block, or a pedestal... any ideas?
