Recommendation? BIG Bowie recommendation please

Does anyone know of a bowie with the following characteristics that is easily available in the price range, New or used, of $250.00 or less?
Large scales, handle suitable for big hands
BIG blade of at least 10 inches
Uncoated blade - not black
Plain edge no serrations
Somewhat reminiscent of "Western" bowie would be a bonus

Thanks in advance.

I was just curious if there was a reason other than blade length that you weren't considering the Western bowie itself? I'm assuming you're talking about the W49 pattern. Aside from being a little short of 9 1/2", it definitely ticks all the boxes and they seem to be pretty readily available and within your budget on the secondary market.

Bark river 1909 Michigan Bowie ($280ish)
Bark river Boone II ($240ish) "smaller blade"
Bark river Teddy II (250ish)

Scagle knives Bowie ($240ish)

Or for less

Cold steel laredo Bowie ($170ish)
Cold steel Natchez Bowie ($180ish)

Or For even less

Buck frontiersman ($120ish) "smaller blade"
Buck 120 ($75ish) "smaller blade"

Bear and Son Gold Rush Bowie is a replica of the western bowie, 9.5" though, hollow ground 12c27, way under your budget

I desperately want to whack one of those around but I can't justify the cost given how little I use the big fixed blades I already own. It does seem to check all the boxes.

I just got one. Thing is an awesome beast. I haven't had a chance to put it to use yet, but I think it would survive being shot out of a cannon.

In addition to my post #17 above, I just remembered that Windlass has a bunch of bowies available that fit your criteria (sort of). The hunter's companion bowie has a 13 1/2 inch blade. Windlass knives are only 3/16 inch thick though and they also have hidden tangs with potentially suspect construction. I have some Windlass bowies, and they're okay. They're very light and fast, but I certainly won't bet my life on them. So if you're going to hard use your knife, you're better off with Cold Steel, TOPS or Ontario.

Poshland Knives also has a bunch of those type bowies on amazon for real cheap. I've heard their quality can be spotty. They're probably made in Pakistan. Probably not as good as Windlass. You get what you pay for, usually.

Get the Ka-Bar BK29 while it's still available...and it comes with a Fisk/Becker BK5 and a little Snody S35VN Snake Charmer  :D

I love that Snody design as well fits my 2xl hands! I got the Snody big boss also, but it needed mods to function for me. The 29 is pretty much the opposite of what OP asked for, but I'm as anxious as you (apparently) to get the word out so they sell out before we buy another!

Any kind of steel you prefer? That would narrow it down quite a bit, as there are literally thousands to choose from with the criteria listed!

Blackjack Knives make a few Bowies, which are essentially copies of Randall designs. The grinds are a little different from real Randalls: higher and convex. Prices come in right at $200 for 5" and $225 for the 7" versions, including a nice leather sheath.

They're made of A2 steel and you have a choice of stacked-leather, micarta, or stag grips (with or without steel pommels).
